Thanksgiving 2011

For my family..it’s a typical Thanksgiving. Family, Food, and questions as to why I am still single! “Don’t You Realize You Are One More Checkbox Away From The Last Age Group??”. I want to take the wish bone and swallow it whole at this point!

But this year, my sister claimed she had a ‘plan’. At 10p.m. we would dash out of there with the hopes to get all of our Holiday shopping done. I thought to myself, leave the family and the questions behind? I put on my running shoes and took off! We headed to the mall in Freehold, NJ. My sister had a map. I am not kidding! I thought I was with Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. She said “Why go to just one store, when you can park in one spot and hit them all”(Oh I get it now ‘THEM ALL’ = THE MALL)l! It was like a scene from “JUMANJI”, once those doors opened, EVERYONE trampled over each other like animals, and that was just to get to Orange Julius!

I survived about 2 hours and I caved in, because as the hours passed, the lines were longer to get into each store, and I just headed back home. I did find some bargains, but the stores in the mall seemed like normal everyday sales. My sister, however was a trooper and stayed till the sun came up! Although I think she just shopped for herself!!

Hey All!

Was going to wait till 2012 to start opening another door, but two opportunities popped up. I've applied to 2 shows.

1. Reality Show (still in the works)
2. Weekly Show (like Saturday Night Live)

If I hear back from them, the next step would be an audition!
Keep your fingers crossed and anything else that is attached to you, that can actually cross!!

Other than that, just working on the Muffins 'Holiday Show' 12/15!

This Friday Night!

Still riding high from last Saturday nights show in Port Jefferson. This weekend, I am taking it easy and heading to NYC for a night out. Then next week, putting some things together for the December 15th Holiday Show at Muffins In The Window!

One of my goals when I moved back to NJ was to join a gym, and I did. Retro Fitness is amazing! I am motivated once again. Only issue I have is, and I've said this before...Men and their need to lift the heaviest weights causing them to have no muscle control in their lower regions, therefore making their backside sound like an extended playing Whoopee Cushion...I then continue to laugh for about 15 minutes straight, and my abs are tighter than ever!! THANK YOU RETRO FITNESS!!!

If you don't know already, this is my favorite time of year. If it's not baking, then decorating. I already bought Michael Buble's new Holiday CD "Christmas" and it's amazing.Favorite Track is 'Jingle Bells' with the Puppini Sisters. My favorite Christmas song is still Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You', which Michael covers on his new CD.

3 Dreams 1 Night!

What an amazing weekend. Once again, many thanks to Joplin's Pearl for including me in their INCREDIBLE night. If you have not seen this unique show, I highly recommend that you do!

I arrived at Theatre Three for a sound check and the nerves began to kick in when I seen the size of the theatre.To date, this is the largest audience I have performed in front of, and the Joplin's Pearl fan base treated me amazingly! The energy was high and stayed that way from beginning to end.

After having some fun introducing myself and performing, I then introduced Amber Ferrari, and I have to say, I haven't seen a female singer who can belt out a jam live in some time. She even performed her new single "Whatever Whatever" (and if you haven't heard this song yet, CHECK IT OUT at amberferrari.com), and the house went crazy, as did I. I enjoyed watching Amber and the band/vocalists all have a great time.

And then Janis Joplin miraculously comes back to perform for the 2nd half of the show, and again the energy keeps building up right to the end. It is a dead on performance and again, you have to see it to believe it. REMARKABLE

After the show I was able to meet so many great people,as well as hang out with Tyrone, Osma, Geri and finally meeting Mare!! It was truly an amazing day/night.

2. Seeing Amber Ferrari perform a Full Set

Tomorrow Tomorrow, I Love Ya Tomorrow

It's here! Tomorrow night I will be opening up for Joplin's Pearl at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson, NY to a full house. Am I nervous you ask? Let's put it this way...12 people already asked me if I was Katherine Hepburn! I am shaking like a bitch!

Everyone has been asking me how did this gig come about. In 2007, I met Amber Ferrari at a place called Pure in Philadelphia. It was the weekend before Christmas, and I heard her singing on stage. Right then and there, I knew, this is someone I needed to follow.

We have a lot in common, our love for people and making them happy. She came to see me perform at the Duplex in NYC back in July and asked me in August if I wanted to open up Joplin's Pearl. For that, I am forever gratefu!!

Looking forward to hanging out with Amber, her band, Tyrone, Osma, Geri, Alejandro, and hopefully so many new great people.... and Cannot wait to meet Mare!

Keep your fingers crossed for me tomorrow that I don't go down like a ton of bricks on stage like Lindsay Lohan at last call!
